BAY VILLAGE

A Family Tradition... Bay Village was built in 1965 as a 19th century replica of a waterfront village. Home of John Maschal’s famous Country Kettle Fudge Shop, you’ll be "shore" to notice the old-time fudge truck parked just outside. Stroll around the boardwalk and enjoy the fine shops featuring gifts, shells, clothing, jewelry, and artwork as well as a delicious bakery, gourmet coffee shop, ice cream, and a Bistro for fine dining overlooking the sunset on the bay. You’ll also find the best pizza in town. Times may have changed in Beach Haven, but the charm of Bay Village has continued throughout the years. Summer used to end on Labor Day, but the Chowderfest/Merchant Mart takes place the first weekend of October every year and draws over 20,000 soup sipping, bargain-shopping visitors right to Bay Village on the bay. After winning Chowderfest numerous times, Country Kettle Chowda will warm your tummy and heart throughout the year. Mr. & Mrs. Santa give a special treat to the children and listen to their wish lists every Thanksgiving weekend during Celebrate the Season. Through it all, John Maschal and Bay Village have continued to provide tourists with a vacation destination where generations of Long Beach Island visitors have come to the "One Stop Place to Shop."
