Ann Hayes

Ann Hayes has been painting the beaches and beach-goers of the Jersey Shore since childhood. Working entirely in transparent watercolor, her compositions are built in layers of glazing and washes to create paintings filled with light and color. Collected for their technical virtuosity and heartwarming subjects, her technique of natural realism draws the viewer into the paintings. Best known for her porch scenes, her paintings of everyday life and beach landscapes capture the places and objects that give our lives warmth and character. Commissioned paintings and portraits are done from candid photos taken on location and completed in her Seaside Park, New Jersey studio.
